About Sarah Hindson

Sarah Hindson is an accomplished violinist and teacher in the Illawarra region.

Sarah commenced violin at age four with Hiroko Primrose, acclaimed teacher and wife of international concert soloist William Primrose.

Sarah continued her tuition under teachers Michael Heaney, Max Cooke and Beryl Kimber before completing her Bachelor of Music Performance and Graduate Diploma of Music Performance at the University of Tasmania under Professor Jan Sedivka.

Sarah's passion for music continues to this day. Sarah enjoys chamber music, playing with the WIN Wollongong Symphony Orchestra and equally, preparing her students for performances.

Sarah has taught at institutions including Geelong Grammar School, MLC School, Newington College, Abbotsleigh, Roseville College, The Illawarra Grammar School and the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.

In 2009, Sarah established her own teaching studio where she enjoys hearing her students become at one with their instruments and helping them to express themselves through music. In her own words:

"What I hope for most for my students is to inspire a life long love of music."
